Jack W. Berryman, Ph.D.

imageJack W. Berryman, is a professor and historian at the University of Washington, Seattle and a freelance journalist. Jack is former President of the North American Society for Sports History and a past editor of the Journal of Sports History. Jack also served as President of the Wild Steelhead Coalition and Northshore Chapter of Trout Unlimited. A regular contributor to Northwest Fly Fishing, Jack recently published Fly Fishing Pioneers and Legends of the Northwest. Jack’s poetic biographies of early northwest fly fishing legends has helped keep the spirit and drive of our steelheading forefathers alive.
