Russell Chatham

imageA renowned painter, lithograph artist, writer, publisher, editor, restaurant owner and fly fisherman, Russell Chatham’s timeless classic, The Angler’s Coast, remains the standalone memoir of California’s North Coast fly fishing. Growing up in the wilds of a yet to be spoiled Marin County, Russell’s passion for fly fishing was second only to his adored idol, the mythical Bill Schaadt. Russell has fished many of the world’s most remote rivers, searching out those last great havens of “undammed, pollution-free waters sustaining individual strained of wild fish” (Introduction to The Angler’s Coast). For over thirty years, Russell has lived and worked in Livingston, Montana.
