Bob Nauheim

imageOne of the original Russian River boys, Bob Nauheim was a close friend and student of Bill Schaadt.  A top-tier angler, Bob co-founded Fishing International, the world’s first international fishing travel agency. Famous for his Crazy Charlie fly design, Bob is believed to be the first man to ever cast a fly on Christmas Island. An outdoor writer for over 20 years, Bob’s most noted articles include “Kings come to the Smith”, “A Season of Giants” and “The Line on Big Fish”.  During the golden years of California’s North Coast, Nauheim was a fly fishing icon. In December 2006, Bob Nauheim’s ashes were spread along the Russian River. Later that winter he was inducted into the Northern California Fly Fishing Hall of Fame.
