Sierra Nevada Brewing Company screening a complete success.

The Rivers of a Lost Coast team would like to thank Friends of Butte Creek and the Sacramento River Preservation Trust for putting on a wonderful event last night at the beautiful Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. Highlighting the current salmon crisis on Butte Creek and the Sacramento River basin, Alan Hawthorne and John Merz expressed the importance of protecting and restoring wild anadromous fisheries in Northern California. You can learn more about these two great conservation organizations at: Sacramento River Preservation Trust and Friends of Butte Creek

A great crowd showed up and enjoyed the food and beverages at the gorgeous Sierra Nevada Brewery. A silent auction, raffle, movie tickets and DVD sales all helped benefit the two great organizations.

Caltrout Showing was a great success last night! Looking forward to Chico this sunday!

Congratulations to Shannon Moon, George Shillinger, Tom Weseloh and the rest of the CalTrout staff for hosting a great evening last night. Over 120 people showed up to support CalTrout and help raise funds to continue the good fight. Tom Weseloh was in attendance and updated the audience about current events/issues pertinent to California’s north coast salmon and steelhead. The evening was a great success, for all who attended.

During a conversation with Tom, he updated us about the continued fight to better protect wild salmon and steelhead on the Smith River. Looks like Ben Taylor and the Smith River Advisory Council are continuing to make great headway. Congratulations to all parties involved in working to protect the salmon and steelhead of California’s most pristine and healthy river.

Don’t forget this Sunday at 5:00pm at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, you can catch a viewing of Rivers of a Lost Coast and support the Friends of Butte Creek and the Sacramento River Preservation Trust. Promises to be a great event. Learn more.
