In honor of Earth Day, The State Theatre and the Tuolumne River Trust are presenting the newly released documentary “Rivers of a Lost Coast,” by Central Valley filmmakers Justin Coupe and Palmer Taylor. Coupe and Taylor will be on hand to discuss the film in one of its first West Coast screenings. The 84-minute documentary, which gained a two-thumbs-up review from the S.F. Chronicle, is compellingly narrated by Tom Skerritt, the noted actor from “A River Runs Through It.” Rivers of a Lost Coast traces the story of two fly fishermen whose unique lives and spirited feud becomes a metaphor for the decline and ultimate closure of California’s North Coast fisheries.
