Nelson Rossig turns 101

Earlier this month we received an email and some pictures from Conrad Calimpong regarding Eureka-born Nelson Rossig’s 101st birthday celebration. Nelson was one of the most knowledgeable anglers in Rivers of a Lost Coast, and we would like to congratulate him on another impressive milestone.

In the photos below you can see Nelson surrounded by a collection of notable Eel River Anglers gathered together at a restaurant in the Eureka marina. In photo #2 the anglers from left to right are: Wade Adams, Wes Olsen, Harold Neville, John Cook, Don Carrico, Rich Ames, Nelson Rossig, Hank Moore, Tom Wrigley, John Winzler, Steve Rosenberg, Adella Mallar, Forrest Willis, Ken Mallar and Conrad Calimpong.
